]]>I know that this is primarily a baking site, but I still love sharing savory recipes with you all from time to time.
After all, we can’t survive on cheesecake alone, as much as I wish we could.
Summer is one time of year when I really love to dig into savory recipes. Simple grilling recipes, appetizers, and especially easy summer salads are things I love to make at home, so of course I want to share them with my readers!
This watermelon feta salad is one recipe that I’m really looking forward to making all summer long and I think you’ll feel the same way.

]]>Shrimp is one of my favorite foods. Honestly, I would choose it over a steak any day of the week.
Creamy pesto pasta with shrimp is one of my favorite date-night-in meals and it’s pretty hard to beat grilled garlic basil shrimp. And lately, all I can think about are these easy shrimp tacos.

]]>It’s nearly strawberry season around here and I couldn’t be more excited. Soon, the farmer’s market will be full of fresh strawberries and the u-pick farms will be open.
My step-mom and I have loved taking Elle strawberry picking in the past, and soon the baby will be big enough to go, too. I can’t wait to have our fridge overflowing with fresh, perfectly ripe berries for turning into everything from strawberry lemonade to fresh strawberry pie to this strawberry salad.
This is the kind of salad I could eat every day of the week and not get tired of it. It’s got so many great flavors and it’s as easy as can be to make!

]]>I love finding new ways to use my homemade bisquick mix. It’s one of my very favorite kitchen staples to keep on hand, and it makes so many recipes so quick and easy.
Recipes like apple cobbler and impossible coconut pie are staples for us, since I can toss them together in almost no time. And with our packed schedule these days, fast is necessary.
These 7UP biscuits are yet another easy bisquick recipe. They have an unusual mix of ingredients that turns into super fluffy, buttery, tender biscuits that you’ll want to eat for every meal of the day.

]]>If you love bread and rolls and biscuits as much as I do, you’re in for a treat today.
These garlic knots are SO delicious. They’re also pretty easy to make, so they’re actually something you can throw together on a weeknight.
The dough only needs to rest/rise for 40 minutes total; with shaping and baking time, they’ll take you just over an hour from start to finish, with most of that being hands-off time.
Which means you can get the rest of your dinner ready while these little beauties are rising and baking. Maybe a big pot of soup or pasta? There are no wrong answers when garlic knots are involved.

]]>What are some of your family’s must-make holiday recipes?
For us, it’s cranberry fluff, hash brown casserole, and sweet potato casserole. And don’t forget the soft dinner rolls! For some of my friends, it’s green bean casserole.
If you’re a green bean casserole type of person, this recipe is for you. And if you have only ever felt kind of so-so about it, I bet my fresh green bean casserole recipe will turn you into a fan.

]]>It’s never too early to start planning for the holidays, right?
Right??
Well, I don’t think it is. Maybe it’s just because I cook and bake for a living, but I love thinking ahead to what I’m going to make for holiday dinners.
As someone with picky eaters in her family, I know the challenge of making a vegetable side that everyone will eat. Or even just try a few bites of.
So you can’t blame me for trying to trick them into eating broccoli by putting it into a cheesy casserole, ok?
Between the creamy, cheesy base and the crunchy cheese crackers on top, this is one dish that even the pickiest eaters will want to eat.

]]>I’m a zucchini lover that lives with zucchini haters, so most of the time I end up hiding zucchini in baked goods like zucchini cookies and chocolate zucchini cake.
But sometimes I say “screw it” and make something savory out of zucchini just for myself to enjoy.
I might have been the only person in my family who liked these air fryer zucchini chips, but that didn’t stop me from making them and enjoying them all by myself. They’re perfectly crispy and the seasoned breading pairs so well with the mild zucchini.

]]>It’s back to school week. Anyone who has school-age kids knows that means this week is going to be nuts.
Getting back into the school routine is always hard on everyone. So I know that I need to have some easy meals lined up to get through the week.
Ham and cheese sliders, crockpot Mississippi pot roast, cheeseburger tater tot casserole, and this southwest pasta salad are all great options.

]]>Summer is pasta salad season. I hope I’m not the first one to tell you!
I love whipping up a simple but delicious pasta salad to take to a summer cookout, to have for a light dinner, or to eat for lunch throughout the week. My Italian pasta salad and Greek pasta salad are always big hits when the weather warms up.
This year I decided I needed to add a couple more pasta salad recipes to my lineup. Up first is this bacon ranch pasta salad. It’s got a creamy, herby ranch dressing to go with some tomatoes, roasted red pepper, green onion, cheese, and – of course – salty bacon.
It’s a cinch to make and is bound to become a summer favorite for your family, too!
